Permanent chemical straightening that breaks and reforms the hair's internal bonds into a pin-straight structure that lasts until it grows out — the salon's strongest straightening option, best suited to very curly, wavy, or frizz-prone hair that wash-and-blow styling can't tame long-term. SL is for waist-length hair, around 4 hours total — the longest session, since straightening and neutralizing that much length evenly takes real time.
